Today we travel...

This week my attention is focused on travel. I myself am jetting off to the other side of the world for a long deserved holiday, and I cannot wait! My trip down under is a personal holiday, but there is something to be said about working for a company that offers the option to travel on a regular basis. The Phoenix Partners are experts at Location, Location, Location and there aren’t many places that we haven’t been! Just some of the countries in our repertoire include; Austria, Bahamas, China, Denmark, Dubai, Egypt, Greece, Hong Kong, Jamaica, South Africa, Sweeden and Thailand to name but a few! The Tuxedo event that we are putting together within the next few days will be out in Germany, and although it’s not a proper “holiday”, once the stress is gone and everyone has relaxed a little, you begin to appreciate how great it is to have the opportunity to be out in all of these places! So if you need any events or parties organised in a gorgeous, sunny, beach strewn area of the world, please don’t hesitate to give us a call!

Health Freaks ...

Ever the cynic, I was certain that the healthy regimes people had promised for themselves in their new year’s resolutions, would by now, be long forgotten! But it isn’t so! As February slowly ticks along, many members of The Phoenix Partners are throwing themselves into their health kicks even more! Along with the appearance of slightly more green salad lunches around the office, Matt Stokes has started running in his lunch break, Rachel Hargrave is training for her Mount Kilimanjaro climb later this year, and Roger Bradshaw, Matt Stokes and myself are cycling to work and back each day. (Matt cheats a little though, as his bike has a rather large engine!). Roger’s pedal bike, a sexy black number, was his 5 year anniversary gift from The Phoenix Partners. Not only a great way to support a personal healthy lifestyle, but also helping to do that little bit for reducing our carbon footprint as a business. A happier world all round!

Creativity is ...

Half Day Creatives are the hot topic this week, and if you’re not sure what they are, please let me enlighten you!
Put quite simply, it’s half a day that The Phoenix Partners team members are able to spend away from the office being creative. It can be something that you’ve never tried before, like cooking your other half a gourmet meal, a la Matt Stokes, or visiting somewhere interesting, like Roger who ventured down to Whitechapel in London for a photography exhibition. Every team member can take a half day creative once a month, and if their activities can positively influence the business somehow, then even better! Justine arrived into work triumphant last week as her Sileby wildlife exploration had produced some pretty funky photos which are going to be framed alongside some of The Phoenix Partners design work, and hung around the office! Not only is it a bit of fun, it’s something small to look forward to every month and it offers a little inspiration towards something we enjoy doing.
